RETURN POLICY

Last Updated: June 18, 2026

GhostWorks Lab wants customers to receive products that are properly prepared, tested, and ready for their intended cosplay, display, or prop use. Because GhostWorks Lab products are handmade, small-batch, electronics-based, made-to-order, customized, or sold as DIY kits, returns are generally not accepted.

By placing an order through www.ghostworkslab.com, Ecwid, Etsy, eBay, PayPal, Jotform, or any connected GhostWorks Lab sales channel, you agree to this Return Policy.

All Sales Are Final

All sales are final.

Returns are not accepted unless GhostWorks Lab specifically approves an exception in writing or unless required by applicable law or platform policy.

Cancellations are not accepted once an order has been placed, except where required by applicable law or platform policy.

Customers are responsible for reviewing all product descriptions, photos, board color options, LED color options, battery pack options, power requirements, fitment notes, lead times, kit requirements, and shipping information before placing an order.

Handmade and Small-Batch Products

GhostWorks Lab products are handmade, small-batch, and often prepared to order. Minor cosmetic differences may occur from item to item.

Small cosmetic differences, 3D print layer lines, minor surface marks, slight LED brightness differences, small wire placement differences, board revision differences, and normal handmade variation are not considered defects.

Product photos are examples unless the listing specifically states that the exact item shown will be shipped.

Non-Returnable Items

The following items are not eligible for return:

Fully assembled prop electronics

DIY electronics kits

Custom or modified orders

Made-to-order items

Items with buyer-selected LED colors or board colors

Items that have been installed, worn, handled, soldered, powered, glued, modified, adjusted, altered, or used

Items damaged by improper power, incorrect wiring, reversed polarity, improper soldering, battery issues, forced fitment, glue application, removal of friction-fit parts, or buyer modification

Items damaged after delivery

Items purchased for an event, convention, deadline, costume build, or display timeline that the buyer later no longer needs

Damages and Issues

If your item arrives damaged or has an issue, contact GhostWorks Lab as soon as possible.

For shipping damage, you must contact GhostWorks Lab within 24 hours of delivery. You must keep the product, box, packing materials, shipping label, and all packaging exactly as received. Photos or video of the damaged item, packaging, and shipping label may be required.

Failure to contact GhostWorks Lab within 24 hours of delivery or failure to keep the packaging may limit or prevent GhostWorks Lab from assisting with a shipping claim, repair, replacement, or other resolution.

For product issues that are not shipping related, contact GhostWorks Lab with your order number, a clear description of the problem, and photos or video showing the issue. GhostWorks Lab may ask troubleshooting questions before deciding whether the item qualifies for repair, replacement, partial refund, or warranty support.

Repairs and Replacements

If there is a verified issue with an item, GhostWorks Lab may offer troubleshooting support, repair, replacement, partial refund, or another resolution as deemed appropriate by GhostWorks Lab.

GhostWorks Lab reserves the right to determine the appropriate remedy based on the product, issue, order date, delivery date, item condition, buyer communication, product use, installation, assembly, power source, and whether the item was modified, damaged, misused, or altered after delivery.

A replacement is not guaranteed. A repair is not guaranteed. Partial refunds are not guaranteed. Any repair, replacement, or partial refund is handled on a case-by-case basis at the discretion of GhostWorks Lab.

Exchanges

Exchanges are not guaranteed.

Because GhostWorks Lab products are handmade, small-batch, electronics-based, and often made with buyer-selected options, exchanges are generally not accepted for buyer preference, incorrect option selection, fitment issues, changed plans, color preference, duplicate orders, or event deadline issues.

If GhostWorks Lab made an error with the order, contact GhostWorks Lab so the issue can be reviewed.

Refunds and Partial Refunds

Refunds are not guaranteed.

Partial refunds may be offered on a case-by-case basis at the sole discretion of GhostWorks Lab. A partial refund may depend on the item, issue, order status, customer communication, product condition, platform rules, and whether the item was used, modified, incorrectly powered, incorrectly assembled, damaged, or altered after delivery.

Shipping costs are generally non-refundable unless required by applicable law, platform policy, or specifically approved in writing by GhostWorks Lab.

90 Day Limited Warranty

Eligible GhostWorks Lab purchases include a 90 day limited warranty unless otherwise stated in the product listing.

The 90 day warranty begins on the delivery date shown by carrier tracking.

This warranty covers defects in workmanship or failure under normal intended cosplay, display, and prop use, as determined by GhostWorks Lab.

The warranty does not cover improper installation, buyer assembly mistakes, soldering mistakes, incorrect wiring, reversed polarity, incorrect voltage, modified batteries, unsafe power supplies, battery failure, short circuits, water damage, impact damage, glue damage, removal damage, forced fitment, unauthorized repairs, or buyer modifications.

Warranty service may include troubleshooting support, repair, replacement, or another remedy as determined by GhostWorks Lab.

Warranty coverage may be void if the product has been modified, rewired, cut, glued improperly, altered, damaged through buyer action, powered incorrectly, used with unsafe or incompatible batteries, or used outside the stated purpose of cosplay, display, and prop use.

DIY Kit Responsibility

DIY kits require customer assembly.

Customers are responsible for soldering, wiring, cable construction, installation, testing, troubleshooting, and following the included instructions.

Soldering tools, solder, wire strippers, cutters, heat sources, clamps, helping hands, safety equipment, and other assembly tools are not included unless specifically stated in the product listing.

If a customer has questions about assembly, wiring, power, soldering, or installation, they should contact GhostWorks Lab before completing the build.

Damage caused by improper assembly, solder bridges, incorrect component placement, reversed polarity, wrong power source, poor cable construction, short circuits, overheating, glue misuse, forced fitment, or failure to follow instructions is the customer’s responsibility and is not eligible for return.

Battery and Power Supply Issues

Some GhostWorks Lab products require specific power sources or battery setups.

If a customer chooses to use their own rechargeable USB battery pack, they should be aware that many phone-style power banks include an automatic shutoff feature. Because some prop electronics draw low current, these power banks may shut off during use because they do not detect enough current draw.

For best results, customers should use the included battery pack option when available, a TalentCell-style rechargeable battery pack, or another power source designed for low-current electronics that does not automatically shut off during use.

Modifying TalentCell-style battery packs, rechargeable packs, USB cables, battery packs, or power supplies is discouraged. Battery or power modifications may void warranty coverage and are done entirely at the customer’s own risk.

GhostWorks Lab is not responsible for damage caused by incorrect power supplies, reversed polarity, modified batteries, overvoltage, undervoltage, short circuits, unsafe wiring, or improper battery use.

Fitment Issues

Customers are responsible for confirming that the product will fit their intended jacket, pocket, pouch, belt, holster, display, battery setup, or costume build before ordering.

Approximate dimensions, photos, and fitment notes may be provided for reference, but every customer setup is different. Fitment problems caused by pocket size, jacket variation, pouch depth, belt setup, holster choice, battery placement, or installation method are not considered defects and are not eligible for return.

Buyer Modifications and Alterations

Any removal, adjustment, gluing, trimming, sanding, wiring, soldering, installation change, battery modification, cable modification, or alteration made by the buyer is done entirely at the buyer’s own risk and discretion.

GhostWorks Lab is not responsible for damage caused by buyer modification, forced fitment, glue application, incorrect wiring, incorrect power, rough handling, removal of friction-fit parts, or installation choices after delivery.

How to Report an Issue

To report an issue, contact GhostWorks Lab with your name, order number, date of delivery, a clear description of the problem, and photos or video showing the issue.

Do not attempt repairs, modifications, glue application, rewiring, soldering, or further troubleshooting that may cause additional damage before contacting GhostWorks Lab.
